       Title: HOMINY CORN BREAD

       Yield: 6 servings
  
       1 c  Hominy
       1 tb Melted shortening
       2    Eggs, well beaten
     1/2 c  Corn-meal
     1/2 ts Salt
       1 ts Baking powder
       1 c  Milk
  
   Combine hominy, shortening, eggs, and milk.  Add
   corn-meal, salt, and baking powder.  Let stand 5
   minutes.  Add 1 tablespoon more of milk if desirable.
   Pour into well-oiled pan and bake in hot oven (425 F)
   35 minutes or until a rich golden brown.  6 servings.
